If you asked our friends, they’d probably describe us as a bit of a princess. Sadly, this princess lives in a condo, not a castle. But if your royal dreams come with a $139 million budget, this massive French-inspired chateaux or “Le Palais Royal” on Florida’s Atlantic Coast has recently hit the market with Coldwell Banker Previews International. The 60,000-square-foot palace is scheduled for completion in 2015.
Think this sounds familiar? No, it’s not Versailles, the home made famous by David and Jackie Siegel and featured in the documentary “The Queen of Versailles.” This one is even grander.
“Le Palais Royal is to be the most expensive listing on the market in America, and was designed to be fit for royalty and the upmost refined individual. It is a true extension of a life well-lived,” said William P.D. Pierce, the home’s listing agent. “This grand palace will be a landmark that rivals Europe’s greatest palaces. A true masterpiece, it is adorned with custom detailing exclusive to its design and incomparable finishes.”
Enter from a 13-foot, 22-karat gold-leaf gate. Marvel at the 26-foot entrance fountain – one of six waterfalls that adorn the exterior. The entryway features seamless double “day and night” custom-designed doors, one of bronze-encased glass and the other of solid mahogany inlayed with 22-karat gold leafing. The doors open beneath a $2 million marble staircase with steel-iron railing and gold leaf, which took craftsmen more than two years to construct.
The grand entrance and lobby open up to the expansive Le Salon with mesmerizing panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Inside, find 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, including three master bedroom suites and one presidential master suite, each with a Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean or Intracoastal Waterway.
One of our favorite features? The world’s first ever IMAX Theater contracted for private use. The screening room features a 50 by 27-foot screen and seating for 18 with a bar and IMAX lounge.
Cook? You can feed an army. The kitchen includes a La Cornue Grand Palais custom range and custom cabinetry made of solid mahogany accentuated with 22-karat gold leafing. The courtyard also features an outdoor summer kitchen with a pizza oven, outdoor lounge for royal entertaining, and entrance to indoor spa massage rooms.
The family room will feature a 1,300-gallon Living Color aquarium enclosed within custom cabinetry that will accommodate a high definition 3-D television. Seriously. In any other home this would be the main ‘wow’ factor. Here, it’s just another cool perk. Sort of like the 30-car garage. Yeah, there’s one of those too.
Sort of makes the 4,500-square-foot infinity edge pool with a 12-foot cascading waterfall, double loop LED-lit waterslide, fire pit and swim-up bar for outdoor entertaining seem like an extra, right? But of course, a home this big needs more than one water feature. There’s a yacht longer than a football field, set to accommodate a mega-yacht. An outdoor Jacuzzi is positioned above a waterfall, and there is also a plunge pool off the master suite on the second floor of the exterior terrace. The pool was designed with state-of-the-art technology including an automated temperature gauge sensor and triple sanitation system, which utilizes saline, chlorine and ultraviolet light.
Of course, with a home this big, you’ll also need onsite security. A proprietary security system was custom-designed, and guard accommodations have been built on property as well as an air-conditioned kennel for on-site guard dogs. The guards (and the dogs) can come and go in silence, too. Le Palais Royal also features complete and sophisticated soundproofing from the slab to marble, including all flooring, plumbing and air conditioning to ensure a quiet tranquility throughout. For seamless maintenance, the property utilizes unique software that digitally documents every step and every square inch of the construction through photography and video.

High prices, giant private villas in Cheval Blanc Randheli
For a stay of six nights, guests pay between €4,000 and €9,000 at the Cheval Blanc Randheli, depending on the travel season. The Maldives luxury refuge is like no other in the Indian Ocean. Belgium architect Jean-Michel Gathy designed the site. Guests are accommodated in modern and mostly private villas (the smallest measures 240 square meters) that are neatly integrated into the adjoining nature. Glass doors on both sides of the villas establish a flowing connecting between the indoor and outdoor areas. Materials such as rattan, bamboo and mother of pearl dominate the interior. Each villa comes with its own private butler, who caters to one’s every need. The villas incorporate large terraces with dining areas and private infinity pools. If that still sounds too small – the Owner’s Villa measures 1,200 square meters and is located on a small, neighbouring island with private boat wharf. It has four bedrooms as well as its own spa and pool facilities.

Za razliku od većine marokanskih letovališta na Atlantiku, Agadir je zaklonjen od jakog vetra i talasa sa okeana i zbog toga je omiljen među turistima kojima je glavni cilj opuštanje na pesku i moru. Zaliv Agadira je ogroman, plaže su peščane, a glavna plaža je duga i retko kada je gužva. Osim toga, ako volite mir i tišinu, lako ćete u okolini grada naći usamljene uvale koje često možete imati samo za sebe. To je savremen, užurban, i dinamičan grad sa 200.000 stanovnika u centru i skoro 700.000 na čitavom ataru.
U gradu koji je pre pola veka skoro potpuno uništen prirodnom katastrofom, ne propustite mali Muzej zemljotresa u ulici Jardim de Olhão u kojem su izložene fotografije starog Agadira. Muzej radi dvokratno, a ulaz je besplatan.
Brojni restorani smešteni su kod same gradske plaže, a osim marokanske kuhinje, postoje specijalizovani indijski restorani, riblji, kao i oni sa međunarodnom kuhinjom. S obzirom da kod plaže ima ima najviše turista, restorani su ovde najskuplji.
Agadir je turistički centar organizovan pre svega za Evropljane, tako da je noćni život dobro zadovoljavajući. Postoji više noćnih klubova, a alkohol je dostupan i lako se nalazi.

Kleine Flugroboter gehören derzeit zu den begehrtesten Gadgets-Trends des Sommers. Auf der aktuellen International Tokyo Toy Show wurde jetzt das coolste und kleinste seiner Art vorgestellt: der QuattroX Multicopter.
Plüschteddys, Puppenhäuser oder gar Bauklötze sucht man auf der International Tokyo Toy Show vergebens. Denn Spielzeug ist längst kein Kinderkram mehr. Jedenfalls für die Japaner. Die dort präsentierten Technik-Spielzeuge lassen deshalb auch nicht mehr nur Kinderherzen höher schlagen. Tatsächlich leuchten auf der großen Messe für Spielwaren die Erwachsenenaugen heller als die Scheinwerfer hinter den Ausstellungsvitrinen.
QuattroX Multicoper ist das Gadget des Sommers
Eines der spannendsten Gadgets könnte man fast übersehen, denn es ist gerade mal sieben Zentimeter breit und gut zwei Zentimeter hoch. Die Rede ist von einem sogenannten Quadrocopter, einer Minidrohne, die durch vier kleine Rotoren angetrieben wird. Daran ist eine kleine Kamera befestigt, die nach Wunsch fotografiert oder filmt. Gesteuert wird der QuattroX Multicopter per iPhone oder iPad.

Flugroboter sind ideale Begleiter für Action und Sport. Besonders beim Klettern, Skifahren, Joggen und sogar beim Tauchen kann man sich mit Hilfe der kleinen Drohnen filmen und fotografieren lassen. Das Beste daran: die Hände sind frei und die Perspektive ist genial. Anschließend bedarf es nur einiger Klicks und schon ist das Video oder Bild auf den sozialen Netzwerken geteilt. Die Zeiten, in denen man seine Selfies umständlich und mit ausgestreckter Hand machen muss, sind vorbei.

Doch eignet sich der winzige Multicopter nicht nur für Streicheleinheiten des eigenen Egos aus der Vogelperspektive. Mit ihm lassen sich atemberaubende Luftaufnahmen von Landschaften, Städten, Gebäuden oder Veranstaltungen machen. Beim Lieblingskonzert wieder in der letzten Reihe gelandet? Mit dem kleinen Multicopter hat man trotzdem eine Chance, sich ganz nach vorne zu „drängeln“. Und wer sich in einer fremden Stadt in den engen Gassen verloren hat, bekommt mit Hilfe seines fliegenden Begleiters ebenfalls im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes schnell wieder den Überblick.

Die Nutzung von Drohnen für den privaten Gebrauch ist in Deutschland übrigens genehmigungsfrei. Sobald sie allerdings gewerblich genutzt werden sollten, muss sich eine Aufstiegserlaubnis eingeholt werden. Wann der Star von der Tokyo Toy Show in Deutschland erhältlich sein wird, ist noch nicht offiziell bekannt gegeben. Doch sind bereits andere kleine filmende Quadrocopter auf dem Markt, mit denen sich schon jetzt der Sommer von einer ganz neuen Perspektive erleben lässt.

Ostrvo sa nekoliko susednih ostrvaca čini prefekturu koja se takođe naziva Zakintos. Na području Zakintosa preovladava sredozemna klima, sa dugim i toplim letima, i blagim i kišovitim zimama. Klima pogoduje gajenju poznatih biljnih kultura, kao što su maslina, vinova loza, agrumi i drugo.
Zakintos je ostrvo sa dugom istorijom. Arheološkim istraživanjima utvrđeno je da je ostrvo bilo naseljeno još u praistoriji. Zakintos je imao zapaženu ulogu u vreme antičke Grčke, a od drugog veka pre nove ere dolazi u ruke Rimljana. Nakon toga vlast nad ostrvom preuzimaju Vizantinci. Za razliku od drugih grčkih krajeva, Zakintos nije doživeo tursko ropstvo, već je bio pod vlašću zapadnih država, najpre Mlečana, a potom Britanaca. Od 1864. nalazi se u okviru moderne Grčke.
Danas je Zakintos jedna od nezaobilaznih turističkih destinacija u Grčkoj, koju svake godine posećuje sve veći broj turista.
Plave pećine, takođe poznate i kao Plave pećine Volimesa su jedna od glavnih atrakcija Zakintosa. Najveća se zove Kianoun, a do ovih prirodnih fenomena se može stići samo brodom. Odlikuju ih prelepa boja vode, kao i lukovi koji su hiljadama godina nastajali putem erozije. Pećine su savršene za ronjenje, kao i ljubitelje plovidbe koji ne žele da se skvase.
Ostrvce Marathonisi se nalazi preko puta plaže Keri, u zalivu Laganas. Ovo nije samo jedno ostrvo, već uključuje još dva manja, a koja se nazivaju Pontikonisia. Obim ostrva iznosi svega oko kilometar, a do njega se stiže brodom. Marathonisi nije naseljen, pa je zbog toga sačuvao svoj prirodni izgled, a bogat je maslinama, borovim i hrastovim šumama. Ovo je mesto na kome se reprodukuju ugrožene morske kornjače. Na ostrvu se nalaze dve plaže, jedna od njih ima beli pesak, a druga kamenčiće. Tu se nalaze i dve morske pećine, idealne za plivanje i ronjenje.
Na Zakintosu se nalaze i druge atrakcije, mada se svakako ističu prelepe plaže. Njih ima čak 28, a poznate su po svojoj netaknutoj lepoti. Najpoznatija plaža na Zakintosu je Navagio ( Shipwreck ), a tu su još i Gerakas, Agios Nikolaos, Kalamaki, Porto Zoro, Spanzia i druge. Svaka od njih je savršena za nezaboravno uživanje. Sa restoranima i kafićima, koji pružaju najbolje usluge, Zakintos je pravi mali mediteranski raj. Zbog toga je letovanje na ovom ostrvo nezaboravno iskustvo za ceo život.
